Gráinne O’Neill & Con Cronin took over the Abbey Bar & Restaurant in May 2012 because they love the service industry and they knew the abbey was the perfect opportunity for a new business venture in the friendly town of Carrigaline.
Gráinne & Con met while working in a Hotel in Tralee, Co. Kerry. Con studied Industrial Chemistry in University of Limerick. Grainne worked for the Fitzpatrick Hotel Group for many years. Her first venture was at the Triskle Arts Centre in Cork where she owned and operated the Cafe ‘GON BLUE’. Grainnes family own the Grange Bar in Grange and she and Con are still involved in running that business also.
